Position: Weekend Centre Facilities Support Coordinator
Location: Poppleton Community Centre
Hours: 16 hours, 2 weekends a month, 8 am – 4.30pm
Hourly Rate: £15 per hour

Join our dedicated team at The Poppleton Centre, where we pride ourselves on supporting the local community. Our centre is a hub of activity, providing a safe and welcoming environment for a diverse range of people. As a weekend centre facilities support coordinator, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our busy community centre, ensuring it’s always ready for the many events and activities we host.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Cleaning: Ensure all areas of the centre, including toilets, kitchens, and common areas, are clean and presentable.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash bins, recycle appropriate materials, and manage waste disposal.
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to keep them free from dirt and debris.
  • Restocking Supplies: Ensure that all cleaning supplies, toiletries, and bin liners are well-stocked.
  • Event Preparation: Assist in setting up and cleaning after events to ensure smooth transitions and a tidy venue.
  • Responsible for securing and locking up the centre  at the end of your shift  to ensure the safety and integrity of the buildings.
  • Centre Bookings and Queries: Ensure that centre bookings run smoothly and that customer and facilities management queries and issues are resolved promptly and efficiently wherever possible.
